Here, design is not merely about style: it is a cultural choice, a way of reading the present and imagining what is yet to come. A journey that begins with creative introspection and guides the visitor towards a new idea of the future.
ARARAT
Giardini Pensili 2025, Rimini, Italy
Texts and performance: Roberto Paci Dalò & Giacomo Vanelli
Presented on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide, ARARAT is a live performance combining poetry, voice, clarinet and electronic sound.
Drawing on texts by Sayat-Nova and Daniel Varoujan, the work creates a dialogue between historical memory and contemporary sound, using live electronics as a space for transformation, layering and interaction between voice, acoustic instruments and electronic textures.
THE ECLIPSE
Milano Design Week 2025, Milan, Italy
The Eclipse was an immersive spatial project developed for Kia during Milano Design Week 2025. Conceived as a transformative environment, the installation was structured around an amphitheatre-like stage designed to encourage participation, dialogue and collective exchange.
Vanelli's musical contribution was conceived as an integral part of the spatial and experiential environment, using sound to reinforce the project's themes of transformation, resonance, circularity and the relationship between opposing forces.
CAST FOR MARS
Festival de Cannes 2026 — Finalist, Immersive Film Competition
Cannes, France
An immersive experience set in a near future, combining role-playing and multimedia technologies to offer participants a glimpse into life on Mars.
The project uses immersive storytelling and sound as tools to engage the audience with broader questions surrounding human coexistence, collective responsibility and the ecological challenges facing life on Earth.
Vanelli contributed to the project through the creation of its sound design, developing the sonic dimension as an integral part of the immersive environment and narrative experience.

TENDERNESS IS RESERVED FOR THE UNPREDICTABLE
Cairate, 2022
A sculpture designed by Sanjeshka to functionally and symbolically accompany falling peels of root vegetables, sits in the center of the space at Santa Maria Assunta Monastery in Cairate. Between 2.00 pm and 8.00 pm, different performers take turns peeling potatoes and apples, one by one, atop the structure, allowing the peel to fall as it may. Giacomo Vanelli provides a musical accompaniment of modulating phonographic recordings and samples of the organist Nin, a soundscape of continuous and random rhythms throughout the evolution of the work.
PERPETUALLY CHANGING THE MEANING OF WHAT WAS SPIRITUALLY INTENDED
Film Performance, 2022
A series of video excerpts from Sanjeshka’s visual archive unfolds through the use of a green screen, while she recites her own words, sings a Yugoslavian pop-rock love song, and plays with the repetition of words and concepts, anticipating possible forms of future sensory redemption.
Although the interplay between words and music does not follow a specific narrative structure, it nevertheless constructs a spoken narrative in which repetition becomes both a form of stimulation and an act of awareness towards the temporality of the technological and sociological environment in which we live.
